
Mindfulness is also a type of meditation.
Mindfulness means that you should be a little conscious about whatever you are doing. Whatever you are doing, feel it completely and whatever you are doing, do it with full awareness and attention.
We do something similar in meditation as well. We take our attention to different parts of our body and focus our attention on all the things. In this way, when we focus our attention on the work we do our regular daily routine actions, then it is called mindfulness. When we move ahead and keep working while paying attention to all the activities going on in the work, then it is called mindfulness.
Monk Perspective Of Mindfulness
For example, a great monk said that when I drink water, I only drink water. What he meant to say was that whatever work we do in our daily lives, our attention wanders here and there and we are never able to concentrate on a single task. But he practices in his own way that when he drinks water, he keeps his full attention only on the water and the activities going on in it. In this way, he destroys all the useless thoughts running in his mind and devotes himself completely to that one task. He gets the same benefits as a yogi or a meditator gets.
Even while doing meditation, we try to calm our mind by focusing on one thing, one object, one person, one God, one person, one blissful thought, or one Guru.
Mindfulness is what we do, in this also we look at the activities of the mind with care, I am telling you how to keep your mind focused while doing a task.
It is said in so many scripture that the person who does not control his thoughts and his mind, his mind controls him. Have we ever thought that if we put every thought that comes to our mind into practice or we control it, then we will definitely accomplish a great catastrophic task
Because all these good and bad thoughts keep coming in our mind all the time. If we start working on these thoughts, then we will definitely become very destructive. That is why a person always uses those thoughts completely and works on those thoughts which lead from thoughts to good work and good deeds.
Anyway, out of all the thoughts that come in our mind, only 10 to 20% thoughts are useful for us, rest of the thoughts keep on weakening our mind without any force, that is why mindfulness is a very good method of becoming alert towards good and bad thoughts. We can make very good use of it by using mindfulness. When we use mindfulness and when we become successful, then rest of the good and bad thoughts become silent and our mind gets completely involved in our work only.
Mindfulness helps us a lot to clear our mind. It provides us with an empty space which becomes a new opportunity to bring new thoughts in our mind.
That is why it is very helpful in calming our mind in many ways. Buddhist people use it a lot. It is often seen that Buddhists use it a lot in the Buddhist sect. Buddha also fully supported mindfulness.
You all must be knowing that our subconscious mind and conscious mind are connected to each other. Whatever actions we take with our different senses, all those actions with our hands and feet, our ears, nose, tongue, eyes, whatever actions we do with all these senses, those actions affect our conscious mind as much as they affect our subconscious mind in the long run.
You must also know that as much as our subconscious mind is important for our state of mind, our conscious mind is also as important. When a person repeats a thing or an idea again and again, then that idea gets stored in his subconscious mind through the conscious mind and the same thought helps in making its impression on the conscious mind. Whatever the conscious mind absorbs, it gradually gets stored in the subconscious mind.
Every important thing that plays an important role in your lifestyle, all those things, those things, those actions get saved in your subconscious mind.
If a person keeps on accepting or thinking about a bad thought for a long time, then that thought will start making an impression on his subconscious mind through his conscious mind and then it will start becoming his habit. Then the subconscious mind will keep storing it inside itself and whenever it is needed, it will make the conscious mind experience this thought and this impression again and again. This is what people call depression.
Many people do not understand why they are thinking bad again and again. They do not know that these are their own previous bad deeds which they have repeatedly done with their hands, with their mind, with their intellect and now they stay in their memory by making impressions and then the same thoughts come out again and again by making negative thoughts and make a person depressed. Medicines and doctors only try to increase the energy inside us, but a person should understand that our body already contains all the power to cure us completely. Medicines only increase those powers a little and help them to work quickly, but we already have the power to cure every disease. As important as any kind of medicine is for us, it is equally important for us to keep our mind and brain happy with the medicine of our good thoughts.
It is very important that we keep doing the best work with all our senses and along with this, keep filling our mind and intellect with as many inspiring things as possible and at the same time, keep associating with good thoughts and people with good thoughts. This gives us a very good opportunity to break our old patterns.
This intellect works only and only on the impressions printed on it. Therefore, it is very important that we always keep doing good deeds and keep filling our mind, brain, conscious mind and subconscious mind with good thoughts again and again. These thoughts will automatically keep providing us with good experiences in a few days or months. Then even when bad times come, because we have filled a collection of good thoughts inside us, that subconscious mind will make your negative conscious mind positive again.
Mindfulness is the most important of all these. Do not try to force your mind in any way. It should be a natural tendency. You should not have to force yourself in any way. Only then will mindfulness help you. Or if you force it upon yourself, this mindfulness will become the cause of your tension. We should not forget that whatever we are doing, we are doing it to calm our mind and body.
Our only aim is to calm our mind and body. Therefore, you should take great care that all this mindfulness should be a natural tendency for you. You should not have to force yourself in any way. Just like we eat food, drink water, bathe, talk, laugh, in the same way we can be mindful and we should be mindful in the same way. Mindfulness is not rocket science. It has been taught to many sages from different religions for centuries. Mindfulness is a very good way to change the old patterns and plasticity of your mind.
Don’t Mind, It Can Change
It is believed that the human brain keeps growing and developing till half of his life, that is why you can change your neuro patterns at any time, that too with the help of mindfulness technique.
If you dedicate your life and your routine to some God or some lord or some deity or some guru and keep doing all your routine works day and night while remembering or chanting their name and in the end dedicate your profit and loss completely to the lord and keep working without any worry, then you will be able to practice mindfulness in a very good way and will be able to take a lot of benefit from it just like meditation and yoga.
