What is the difference between religion and spirituality?
This question comes to the mind of many people that what is the difference between religion and spirituality?
Actually if we look closely, there is no difference between these two or we can say that there is a difference between these two
Man created religion so that he can become more spiritual. If seen, the principle of religion itself takes us towards spirituality. Religion was created so that according to its rules, man, irrespective of which country or land he belongs to, can be made spiritual and taken towards his God.
The work of religion was to show how a person can incorporate spiritual experiences in his lifestyle and routine by following certain rules and regulations or how he should spend his day in such a way that his day is as beneficial for his materialistic world as it is for his spiritual world.
But because religion is a path and the target is spirituality, now the matter went wrong when these paths were made in different ways. Those who made these paths, their target was always spirituality and one God, but because of the different paths, we see a lot of differences in it in today’s times.
Different path but same goal for religion and spirituality
You will see differences in it but you will not see differences in the minds because whether it is the religion of any country, any land or any corner of the world, the aim in most of its evidence is the attainment of God. Wherever you go in the world, you will find that the aim of all the religions or say most of them has been only and only the realization of God or the attainment of God.
Even if their paths are different, even if their languages are different, even if their methods, their rules, rituals, the form of their knowledge is different, but if you look at its fundamentals, you will see that the root of all of them is one God or one principle.
This belief may be different but its root is one and that is to become one with God, to attain God, to concentrate on God, to dedicate our intellect towards God, to dedicate our daily routine and our deeds to God, to remember God all the time, to consider our every deed as done by the hands of God, to always keep in mind that there is a supreme power above us. You will find this fundamental common to all religions.
What is the difference between spirituality and religion?
Whereas religion is a mixture of its colorful diversities, spirituality is the only and only path to God.
In religion, we are taken towards God by adopting a method by mixing all our rules and regulations, whereas in spirituality, we are directly given knowledge of the spirit, keeping aside the body and religion, and an attempt is made to take us directly towards God.
When it comes to spirituality, no importance is given to any religion, sect or method. Apart from this, all the rituals and different policies are also not given any place in spirituality. Instead, spirituality directly includes meditation, surrender, search for God and all the efforts made for it.
If a person wants to become spiritual, then there is no need for him to follow only one religion. He can take the good things from all the religions and whatever enlightens his inner self and his intellect towards God. He can take all the knowledge from all the religions and take his spiritual journey further ahead.
If seen, the work of religion is also the same that it takes you towards spirituality. It takes you forward to make you feel the greatness of God in your life and that God is around us. But because in today’s era, people do not understand this thing and give importance only to diversity and do not maintain relations with each other and develop hatred.
If you look closely, all religions are made only and only for attaining God and to make you spiritual.
The Easy Path
Religion is that path, if you follow it properly, you will definitely become spiritual and you will attain your God. But in today’s era, when we have forgotten to respect each other’s diversity, the importance of religion is completely ending. Religion has deviated from the purpose for which it was made and has become only and only a means of creating distance and enmity among people.
That is why a human being should always keep his eyes on God, no matter which religion, sect or policy he belongs to, but it is important for him to always respect his own and other people’s incarnations of God and respect all religions because even though we are brothers and sisters, our Supreme Father, the Supreme God, is one and the same.
If you study the knowledge of all those great incarnations, all the Gods of all religions, all the Gurus of all religions very carefully, then you will understand very easily that they all are talking about the same thing in different languages.
Even if their language is different, even if their policies are different, even if their rules and regulations are different, but they are all talking about the same God, the Supreme Father.
Whether someone worships him as a form or as a divine form, whether someone worships him as a prophet or as a deity, all these types of devotees lead you towards the one God who created this world.
That is why we should consider spirituality as our goal and follow the religion we are in with full sincerity and at the same time understand the knowledge of all other religions and respect their diversity, take whatever is good for our devotion from them, bow down to all those gurus and all the gods, surrender completely to our one personal God and we should always bow down to that God.
